DIY Wool Duster
| |Today, we are wrapping up our spring cleaning ideas using scrap fabric. This colorful wool duster can work with a variety of scraps, but we encourage you to upcycle.
Wool naturally attracts and holds dust, and once it’s dirty, just remove the duster from the stick, throw it in the washer, and replace it once it’s dry. The simple velcro attachment makes it easy. Make two duster covers, so you never have to wait for one to dry!
To make your own duster, you will need:
- assorted wool scraps
- velcro
- wooden dowel
- sewing machine
- basic sewing supplies
- hot glue gun
Washable, reusable dusters are the way to go! With just a few common items and a bit of fabric, you can make dusters that will last much longer than most disposable duster cloths. If you have a Swiffer duster handle on hand, check out the video below for a swiffer duster that can be used over and over for household cleaning chores.
