Spiral Accent Rug – Jelly Roll Rug Pattern & Video
| |Spruce up your space by adding a spiral accent rug! This type of rug is also called a jelly roll rug. The name comes from the use of Jelly rolls. For those of you not familiar with the term Jelly Roll- it is a pre-cut bundled unit of fabrics that measure 2 1 /2″ wide by 40-42″ or width of the fabric. The fabrics range is prints and colors from a single collection. Moda Fabrics ™ marketed the term Jelly Roll.
With each jelly roll strip stitched together, you can see the spiral rug take shape. Thanks to the help of pre-cut batting, there is NO need to cut the batting down to size. We HIGHLY recommend you adding 2 packages of the pre-cut batting to your supply list. Not only will this reduce your time at the cutting table but it will ensure accuracy and project success.
The pattern comes in both a downloadable PDF version and a printed paper copy. It is up to you which version you purchase. Once in hand, the pattern walks you step by step through the process, providing you with tips to achieve the best looking spiral accent rug on the planet!

Video shows sewing on one side of strips. Pattern calls for sewing down the middle of the strip. Very confusing. Which is the correct way?
What size denim needle do you use for making the spiral rugs? Theses rugs are beautiful !!!
Thank you
