Free Astrodelic Quilt Pattern

We love mod quilt designs and even more so when they are free. The Astrodelic Quilt Pattern is a bold lap or baby size quilt that finishes at 42″ square. Most yardage quantities are 1/4 yard or less, so it’s perfect for larger scrap fabric pieces. You can always make the design scrappier with no repeat prints.

The Astrodelic Quilt has gorgeous results using solids, prints, or a combination of the two. We love this quilt for a baby’s nursery. It would also make a great Christmas quilt in thematic colors and prints.

This is one of those fast finish quilts that works well for beginners. The diagonal lines are created using the same method you would when making quilt binding. Large piecing means you can likely complete the quilt top in an afternoon.
