The Shadow Stars baby quilt is easy to make, gender-neutral, and of course, perfect for using your fabric scraps.
Materials Needed
- assort fabric scraps or fat quarters
- quilt batting
- straight pins
- rotary cutter & cutting mat
- erasable marking pen
- sewing thread
- sewing machine
The Shadow Stars quilt finishes 32″ x 40″ but it can also be made larger just by adding a few borders around the outside edges.
One of our favorite parts is the way Jemima from Tied with a Ribbon alternated the colors to highlight the details within the quilt. This simple adjustment creates an additional pattern within the quilt.
The quilt construction is beginner-friendly. It highlights basic construction including flying geese and patchwork.
