Butterfly Paper Piecing Pattern
| |This breathtaking butterfly paper piecing pattern is an incredible intermediate paper piecing project. If you’re not familiar with the paper piecing process, click on over to this article which is a fabulous introduction to it. Briefly, though paper piecing is the process of stitching your fabric directly onto the paper. This technique is also referred to as foundation paper piecing (FPP) and is especially helpful when you’re sewing intricate angles or very small blocks.
This pattern is available on Craftsy and was designed by Nicole of lillyella stitchery. Upon pattern purchase, you will receive:
- Printable pattern pieces with a 1/4 seam allowance.
- Directions and diagrams on how to piece the sections.
- Diagrams for coloring, noting fabric layout, and sketching quilt designs.
- Scaling information to create a smaller finished piece.
- NOTE: basic knowledge of foundation paper piece is required.
One thing that we want to mention is that the pattern does not include instructions on how to paper piece. So, it is important that you have a basic understanding of this technique. Here is a quick video for anyone who wants a quick refresh.
