3-Ring Pencil Pouch for Back to School
| |Back to school sewing is all about organization. Pencil pouches are a must, and one that clips in to a binder is extra handy.
After you’ve shopped for school supplies, grab some scraps to sew up this binder pencil pouch. Whether you are headed to the classroom, online school, or home school, the binder zipper pouch will keep your tools organized.
You will need:
- 2 fabric rectangles 6” x 10” for the back of the pouch
- 1 binding strip 2” x 10”
- 1 rectangle 2 1/2” x 10” for the top of the pouch
- 1 rectangle 2 1/2” x 3 1/2” for the clip tab
- a bias-cut strip 2 1/4” x 30”
For the customizable front of the pouch you will need one of the following options:
- 1 piece of mesh 4 1/2” x 10”
- 1 piece of vinyl 4 1/2” x 10”
- 2 rectangles of regular quilting cotton fabric 4 1/2” x 10”
You will also need:
- 1 zipper 10” long or longer
- 1 rectangle lightweight fusible interfacing 2 1/2” x 10”
- 1 rectangle fusible fleece 6” x 10”
- wash away Wondertape
- 1 swivel snap clip with a 1/2” opening
- sewing machine
